My name is Sarah, a former graduate from Parsons BA in Fashion Design 09'. I spent my teens & early twenties in New York, where I attended college, worked for big name designers, & of course, ate a ton of pizza walking around the city that never sleeps.

Long story short, I was young & vulnerable; I missed my suburban life here in OC. I wanted to sit back & relax at a local café without upcoming obligations. I missed the salty breeze & the ocean waves; So I did it. I gave my company a 10 day notice (not even 2 weeks!) I flew back near my home church & commuted to LA for my job. I was only 21.

Again, I designed for big companies. It was so much fun to see my designs all over the country, & next, around the world; But that didn't last very long. One day as I sat in my office & sketched away, I thought to myself "I can't waste my youth behind the desk working for someone till I retire!" Again, extremely simple & vulnerable, but I did it. After 4 years of commuting to LA, waking up at 6am, coming home at 6pm & answering 394803 emails from Asia at 3am, I decided to leave the company & seek my own.

I went from producing my own apparel line, to freelancing for other manufacturers. In 2014, I was given an amazing opportunity to open what is now where my soul belongs; Miel.

I wanted to offer an experience, unique outfits for both mom & daughter to achieve at accessible prices. Now in my thirties, I am proud to say we have achieved many goals, reaching out to women of Orange County & beyond; Being recognized by many of you.

I just want to thank you for reading what I turned into a "bio" vs "about us," and supporting us for the past years. Thank you for letting me continue making customers that turn into friends. Thank you for helping this mama continue enjoying her boss-life by keeping my shop busy & pushing me to update the online part religiously. And of course, thank you for letting me continue "Bringing East Coast chic to West Coast charm!"

Thank you God for providing me a beautiful working environment where I was able to spend my twenties enjoying life among loving people.
